Pastor Blessed

The AMP version of Acts 1:8 says, “But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.” This is the truth, because God has not called you to be ordinary. There’s a way God works, but the problem we have with this generation is that we’re always in a hurry; we seem not to have the time to wait and receive the Holy Spirit, which will make our lives efficient and result-driven. The Holy Spirit is that relatable companion we need for visualization of our lives to bring out the future for us; He helps us to be efficient, and also makes our lives a lot easier.

Sometimes, as believers, we get too distracted that we start reading the trends from wrong sources. However, the Bible says in Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” When worldly people say something that is logical and makes sense, it doesn’t mean it is God. 1 Corinthians 2:14 also says that, “The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him…” Jesus said that the god of this world has blinded their minds, so they argue blindly. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” The succeeding verse goes further to state that the things that God has prepared for us, His children, are revealed to us by His Spirit. That means no matter what, we don’t go through life blindly, because we know our source. This should be the joy of the believer!

At some point in your life, you need to let go of some friends because they distract and confuse you from concentrating on the facts of God’s Word. They do this by presenting data and reasons why some things will or will not work for you, which contradicts God’s Word. All you have to do is look at what God has revealed to you—the visions and dreams you have, as well as the context of God’s Word in the Bible, and keep believing in them while working towards achieving your dreams. Everything you need in life as a believer has been done, and delivered, to you. All you have to do is connect to the right source, which is the Holy Spirit. When you rely on what people say, you fall into fear. But the Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” So when you wallow in fear, get tensioned by what people say, feel anxious, and look hopeless, just know that you’re accessing the wrong information; call back yourself and reconnect to your source—the Holy Spirit.

In John chapter 2, when Jesus was at the wedding in Cana of Galilee, they ran out of wine amidst the ceremony. Jesus instructed the servers to fill up the waterpots with water and then scoop from there to serve the most important guests at the wedding. By human reason, it looked foolish, but Jesus knew what was about to happen because He was connected to the right source, which is the Spirit of God. When your data source is right, that is when faith comes in. You have to deliberately and consciously train yourself to listen to, and obey, the voice of the Holy Spirit. You will be amazed at the results and impacts! As a believer, when you connect to your data source, which is God’s Word, as well as submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, you will experience the supernatural in your life as you do the natural.

Remain blessed!
