In our last exhortation, we talked about the nature of God that is alive in us as believers. At new birth, we were born of God, and not of human passion. Recall that I did mention that some of us are not even functioning the way we are supposed to function if we are to look at our divinity meter, which is a measure of the divine nature of God in us. The Bible says in Psalm 82:6, “I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.” This is who you are—a god. Operate according to your divinity henceforth, because God has made you a god.
There is nothing new God is doing; this is what I tell people. The Bible says in Ephesians 1:3, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” This means that God has already done everything for us through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. Everything has been made available to us as believers by default. All we have to do is take a stand in the reality of this, and be conscious of it at all times. Also, the only new thing is you because your old man is dead, and Christ is the new man living and working in you.
I reiterate, it is essential that you know who you are as a believer in Christ Jesus, as well as walk in the knowledge, consciousness, and reality of that truth. Now the important question is, who are you? What evidence do you have to prove that you are a child of God? Jesus said in Matthew 7:20, “Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” What fruits are you bearing? Are they fruits of doubt, unbelief, fear, malice, and the likes? Jesus also said in John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” You don’t fake it, and you cannot fake it; these fruits come from the heart as a function of our divine nature.
Your life needs to be supernatural. You have to exude the presence of the supernatural in your workplace, business, family, health, and in every area of your life. 2 Peter 1:2 says, “May God bless you with his special favor and wonderful peace as you grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Favor for the supernatural comes from spending time to know God more at the place of Bible study; here, your faith is rooted more and more in Christ as you grow in your knowledge of His might and sovereignty. You take a stand in Christ against the devil, no matter what happens, because you have grown in your knowledge of God—His power, mighty works, covenant, promises, faithfulness, and most importantly, His unconditional yet changeless love for us.
TAKE A STAND in God’s Word. Get to know Him more and more at the place of your everyday personal devotion—worship, Bible study, and prayer. No matter what, let your knowledge of Christ keep you in His peace and love. Even when there are so many adversaries, know and believe God loves you everyday, and He is saying in Joshua 1:5, “…I will not leave you, or abandon you, or fail you.”
God bless you!
